A pedicure can be quick and easy or slow and relaxing – you set the tone.
1. Start with clean feet. Begin by removing any polish from your toenails. Soak your feet in a basin of warm water with Epsom salts or an essential oil for 5 minutes.
2.Clip and file. After drying your feet, clip toenails to just below the tip of your toes.
Tip: We recommend using the Artemis Woman Nail Catcher to avoid nail clippings from flying around. With an emery board, file the rough edges and round off the nails at the corners to prevent the nails from growing in.
3. Exfoliate. Slough off dead dry skin with an exfoliant and remove hard calluses. (It is not recommended that you use razors or graters which can cut or damage your feet.)
4. Moisturize. Now moisturize and massage your feet with an all-natural cream or lotion, preferably one with an aromatherapy essential oil to sooth the senses. Relax and enjoy the moment!
5. The final touch. Apply a base coat to protect the nail. Allow to dry before applying a polish of your choice. With the nail polish, wipe one side of brush against the bottle to get rid of excess, then use the other side to apply. Wait two minutes, then apply a second coat. Complete your pedicure with a clear top coat to protect your color. Let the polish set.
How easy was that!
